In their report, they showed the need to develop the “Free” cosmodrome in the Amur Region, despite the government’s decision on its conservation. In their opinion, the situation in the area contributes to the creation of a “free” space innovative cluster around the Cosmodrome: 1.Geographical location; 2.high level of education; 3.There is a gas pipeline, motorway; 4. Squeezed enough reliability of launches; 5.Good condition of the cosmodrome. One of the most important points is the desire of the inhabitants themselves to develop their area, the future of which they associate with the continuation of space programs. G.And. Cosheova emphasized that the continuation of the functioning of the “Free” cosmodrome will contribute to the development of the entire Amur region. During the discussion of the report, the director of the Institute of Demography, Migration and Regional Development of the Yu. AT. Krupnov fully supported the ideas of the development of the “Free” cosmodrome, in addition to this, he was proposed by the project of organizing the corridor of development based on the Svobodny cosmodrome, the Komsomolsk-Solnechny TechnoCopolis and the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Railway to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
